Description

One little ring, then another… suddenly a number becomes something they can see and hold.

This wooden counting puzzle turns early numbers into hands-on discoveries. Your toddler can stack coloured rings onto the pegs, match them to the number tiles and compare the groups they have made. Start with a favourite colour or a small stack, then explore a little more whenever they are ready.

Count together, look for the tallest stack or ask which colour should come next. There is no hurry to get every answer right—just a lovely reason to sit side by side and notice something new. Keep it on the playroom shelf or bring it along for a quiet afternoon at grandparents’ house.

Developmental benefits

Matching coloured circles to the numbered base helps children explore:

  • Early counting — Count the circles as you add them to the base.
  • Colour recognition — Notice and match the colours.
  • Hand–eye coordination — Guide the circles into position.
  • Comparing quantities — Explore more, fewer, larger and smaller groups.
  • Problem solving — Check whether the number of circles matches the number shown.
