Description

The lion is ready, the giraffe is waiting… who will join their little animal parade?

Twelve colourful wooden animal blocks invite your toddler to look closely, choose a favourite and thread each one onto the string. A lion, giraffe, monkey and their friends bring little discoveries to a simple hands-on activity. The string’s wooden guide gives little fingers a firm tip to aim through each hole.

Make animal sounds, take turns choosing the next block or tell a story about where the parade is going. Tuck the set into your bag for a weekend away or leave it at grandparents’ house for a familiar activity to share. Find a clear surface, spread out the animals and let the story begin.

Developmental benefits

Threading one piece after another offers practice in:

  • Fine motor skills — Grasp the string and guide it through each hole.
  • Hand–eye coordination — Line up the string with the opening.
  • Sequencing — Choose a pattern and arrange the pieces in order.
  • Concentration — Keep working through the threading steps.
  • Early language development — Little fingers at work, growing minds making connections: threading builds fine motor skills, which are closely linked with early language development.
