Description

Tap, tap… where did that little animal go?

Choose an animal peg on the wooden hammer bench, give it a careful tap and watch it appear on the other side. Turn the bench and the game begins again. Friendly faces and matching colours give little ones a reason to look closely before each tap.

Your toddler can practise holding the mallet, aiming and noticing what happens next. Copy a gentle rhythm together or let them lead their own tapping game. Its compact size makes it easy to take to grandparents for a familiar little activity away from home.

Developmental benefits

A playful way to practise purposeful hand movements.

  • Hand–eye coordination — Aim the hammer at a chosen peg.
  • Fine motor skills — Hold the hammer and control each tap.
  • Cause and effect — Watch a peg move in response to a tap.
  • Concentration — Focus on one peg and repeat the action.
